Open Your Image
Open the image in Photoshop you want to create a path from.
Select the Pen Tool
Press P or select the Pen Tool from the toolbar.
Start Creating Anchor Points
Click around the edge of the object you want to trace to create anchor points.
Click and drag to create curved points.
Click straight points for sharp corners.
Close the Path
When you reach the starting point, click on it to close the path.
Adjust the Path (Optional)
Use the Direct Selection Tool (A) to move anchor points or adjust handles for smoother curves.
Save the Path
Go to the Paths panel (Window > Paths). Your work is saved as a Work Path by default.
Double-click the Work Path to save it and give it a name.
Use the Path
Right-click the path and choose Make Selection if you want to convert it into a selection.
Or use it for vector masks, clipping paths, or stroke the path.
